Ivory Tree Game Lodge

Ivory Tree Game Lodge is situated in the north eastern region of the Pilanesberg National Park, the closest point of entry is through Bakgatla Gate.

Nestled in the basin of an ancient amphitheatre divided by riverine woodlands and elephant trails lies an exclusive private game lodge. The images below depict several aspects of the lodge. The central facility includes, stunning feature pool, bar, conference room, dinning room, boma, reception and curio shop.

The Safari Experience

Most of our guests are at Ivory Tree for the thrill of the open vehicle safari. Ivory Tree uses custom built 10 seater open game viewers which permit maximum all around visibility. The park is home to a wide variety of general game including the Big 5, in addition both species of rhino occur, namely black and white, and cheetah and wild dog. Each group of guests is assigned a personal guide who is tasked with interpreting the sights and sounds of the African bush. Your guide will spend time with you at dinners aswell and is always around to ensure that you remain comfortable during your stay with us.

Rates & Reservations 2012/13

• Single supplement 50% of the per person sharing rate.
• Children under the age of 12 years 50% of the per person sharing rate when sharing with two adults..
• Children Sharing with adults in executive suites will be charged 50% of the standard suite sharing rate.
• Executive suite rate permits two adults per night, no single supplement applies.
• Rate inclusions Accommodation, all meals, teas & snacks and two daily safari activities.
• Rate exclusions Conservation levy of R 100.00 per guest per stay, all drinks and items of a personal nature

TERMS & CONDITIONS

A non-refundable 20% deposit is required to confirm any reservation. Full payment of the balance is due 30 days prior to guests arrival, unless the booking is made within 30 days, in which case full payment will be required to confirm the reservation.

• For group bookings (greater than 20 guests) cancelled between:
• 90 and 60 days prior to arrival 30% of the total amount will be due.
• 59 and 30 days prior to arrival 60% of the total amount will be due.
• 29 and 15 days prior to arrival 75% of the total amount will be due.
• 14 and 0 days prior to arrival 90% of the total amount will be due.

• For Individual bookings (less than 20 guests) cancelled between:
• 60 and 30 days prior to arrival 50% of the total amount will be due.
• 29 and 15 days prior to arrival 75% of the total amount will be due.
• 14 and 0 days prior to arrival 90% of the total amount will be due.

Children

• Children under the age of 12 are permitted on safari at the sole discretion of the manager or guide
• Children under the age of 6 are not permitted on safari and, where possible, a kiddies safari will be arranged between normal safari times.
• Baby sitting can be arranged at the lodge at an additional charge.

Map & Directions

Situated in the Pilanesberg Game Reserve, access to the lodge is either by road or by air from Johannesburg. The reserve is approximately 2 hours drive from Johannesburg, guests would route via Hartebeestpoort before proceeding west along the clearly marked route. The lodge is accessed via Bakgatla Gate. Road transfers are available from most areas in Gauteng. Whilst this service can be arranged by Ivory Tree Game Lodge rates and terms and conditions may change without notice as this service is provided by numerous third party service providers.
