With sweeping views across a tranquil lake, Kapama Lodge (5 star graded) is the epitome of luxury accommodation. Twenty spacious, air-conditioned, en suite thatched chalets, decorated to reflect the rich textures of Africa, are set in tranquil indigenous gardens.
The tea deck is a relaxing venue to observe an abundance of birds in their natural habitat or to enjoy cocktails on balmy evenings. The library and lounge offers a warm welcome on cool winter evenings.
Superb gourmet meals are served in the main dining room, the boma or in a secluded bush venue under a star-studded sky.
Accompanied by highly skilled game rangers, guests set out on early morning and evening game drives, to discover the wonder of the African bush and a unique encounter with its majestic inhabitants. An elephant back safari is an optional extra exclusive to Kapama Game Reserve guests.

Kapama Game Reserve (Wildlife Reserve) remains the finest incentive destination in the region, the reserve adjacent to Eastgate Airport, can offer both land and water activities and can integrate 12 highly trained elephants into a unique incentive experience. TERMS & CONDITIONS
A non-refundable 20% deposit is required to confirm any reservation. Full payment of the balance is due 30 days prior to guests arrival, unless the booking is made within 30 days, in which case full payment will be required to confirm the reservation.
- For group bookings (greater than 10 guests) cancelled between;
- 90 or longer days prior to arrival 25% of the total amount will be due..
- 90 and 30 days prior to arrival 40% of the total amount will be due.
- 30 and 0 days prior to arrival 100% of the total amount will be due.

Children
- Children of all ages are welcome at Kapama Lodge. All children under the age of sixteen must be accompanied by a responsible adult during game drives and bush walks. Children will be permitted on game drives and walks at the sole discretion of the ranger.

The Kapama Game Reserve is home to the big 5. Being a private reserve guests are able to track Africas big game with the freedom offered by a private reserve.

Eastgate Airport
The northern boundary of Kapama Private Game Reserve borders Eastgate Airport. This makes it easy for Kapama to transfer guests in open Landrovers directly from the airport to the lodge of their choice. South African Express Airways operate two flights daily between Johannesburg International Airport and Eastgate Airport. Aircraft used are De Havilland Dash 8 carrying 50 passengers. A daily scheduled flight from KMIA (Kruger Mpumalanga International Airport) has been introduced by CFA Charters. This offers guests to Kapama the additional opportunity to fly to KMIA from Cape Town, Durban or Johannesburg and then link up with CFA Charters to Eastgate Airport. Details
Take either the N12 or the N4 from Johannesburg to Witbank and Middelburg. Turn onto the R540 towards Belfast, Dullstroom and Lydenburg. Dullstroom is set on the highveld and is an ideal point for exploring the region. The village has a quaint old-world atmosphere and is famous for its trout fishing. This is an ideal halfway stop on the way to Kapama Private Game Reserve. From Lydenburg proceed on the R36 to Orighstad, through the Strydom Tunnel to Hoedspruit.
This scenic drive through Mpumalanga has awesome landscapes and unforgettable views. Drive up the mountain passes onto the escarpment and look down onto the wonders of the lowveld. At the Strydom Tunnel there are a number of stalls selling ethnic curios from the area.
At Hoedspruit, take the R40 to Klaserie.
For Kapama Lodge, continue on the R40 and turn left at the Eastgate Airport turn-off and continue for 15 km. Turn right at the Guernsey turn-off and continue on the gravel road for another 10 km. The Kapama Lodge entrance will be on your left-hand side. For Kapama buffalo Lodge and Buffalo Camp, continue on the R40 until you reach the entrance on your left-hand side.
